    MARGE team annual meeting

    RE study in Garamba park

    MARGE is helping on the institutional and economical aspects of the study led by SHER for the design and assistance to the beginning of a project to produce renewable energy in Garamba park.     Energy efficiency in tea factories

    The Ethical Tea Partnership and GIZ contracted MARGE to carry out a study to assess the potential for developing energy efficiency programmes with tea producers in 4 Asian tea producing countries by identifying energy savings potential in the tea sector as well as opportunities to improve energy policies to encourage investments in energy efficiency. The 4 countries of the assignment are: China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India.

    Demand assessment in Rwanda

    MARGE and IB&C are carrying out a demand assessment for a mini-hydro project in Rwanda within the framework of the RESP - Renewable Energy Small Projects - Development Facility implemented by Energy 4 Impact on SIDA funds. The objective of this assignment is to assess the electricity demand and the ability to pay by households (affordability), productive users, social institutions and anchor customers in communities around the generation plant. The results of the demand assessment will inform the developer on the convenience to retail electricity through a mini-grid, rather than feeding into the main grid.
