Since 2020, MARGE has been supporting Enabel in its Agricultural Entrepreneurship Intervention Program in Guinea, working on a solar electrification project for cold rooms dedicated to potato storage. After an initial study phase in 2020 to understand farming groups’ needs, MARGE helped drawing up technical specifications for the tendering of the energy infrastructure of the cold rooms. Construction work began in May 2023. MARGE is in charge of the technical supervision, with support from local consultants. In the end, three solar cold rooms were installed in Timbi Madina, Sallya and Manéah. Completion and commissioning are scheduled for early December 2023.
