This project aims at supporting socio-economic development in around ten sites in the Climat Sahel Portfolio by setting up solar kiosks enabling local entrepreneurs and women's groups to set up income-generating activities. The project also supports improved management of end-of-life solar equipment.

MARGE supported the development of solar kiosks in two communities hosting refugees. The kiosks are used to house productive activities and power a pump to meet the population's water needs. MARGE was in charge of sizing the solar system and carrying out an economic and financial analysis of the kiosk projects in order to demonstrate their viability.
