This project aims at supporting socio-economic development in around ten sites in the Climat Sahel Portfolio by setting up solar kiosks enabling local entrepreneurs and women's groups to set up income-generating activities. The project also supports improved management of end-of-life solar equipment.

MARGE supports Mercy Corps in the design and implementation of a scaling and fund-raising strategy for the commercial arm of the initiative, called Humanitarian Energy.
MARGE provides technical assistance to support FUNAE and Enabel Mozambique for the supervision of the construction of 2 solar PV mini-grids with battery storage in Alto Maganha and Idugo in Zambezia Province and the commissioning and provisional acceptance of both mini-grids.
